PhotoMigrations has been a free use site since it evolved from the MSN forums several years ago. It is my goal to be able to continue that tradition. It seems impossible to me for a website to place a monetary value on it’s worth. PhotoMigrations is many things to many different people. Some are serious photographers who want to exchange information, others are just beginning to learn the craft of nature photography, and some simply want to belong to a group that allows each member to be respected and valued. With such a broad membership I see no way to tell each of you that your use of the site has a specific dollar value that is equal to another member. It seems more appropriate to allow you, the individual member, to determine the value this site has to you.

We now have the means that will allow our members to make donations. These dollars will be used for site improvements, upkeep and growth, and to provide a broader content for our monthly publications. These donations are entirely voluntary but I do hope that you will give us the chance for growth through your support.

I hope that you understand the reason for asking for donations and will consider making your donations an annual tradition. While the site will still remain free for image hosting, access to forums and content in it's current form, we hope that you gain enough knowledge and enjoyment to show your apppreciation by making a contribution.
